Old runs were often referred to by the squatter's name, eg, Mr Smith's run. To match names to places on this map, try this record of licences granted to squatters:

It includes people who were there years earlier, so this is likely licence renewals, or after they formalised the squatting licence system. Runs sometimes stay in the family too. So, although squatters may have moved, or expanded to have runs in different places, there's a good chance a match of this list to the map is good for the 1830s too.

Very useful as many stations/runs were referred to by the person's name at the time. Many other online copies of Ham's maps only have the map without the name index.
