| Description |
Rough indication of districts used in the 1868 census, many of which are police districts. There are no adequate maps of census districts in QLD in the 1860s. It may be possible to generate area from text descriptions of Police Districts in future. This is simply working from the place name, eg: "Townsville" and placing a point in the town, or for ones that specify 'outside municipal area' near the town. Populations in the 1868 census included. They tally to the full population for QLD. |
