These texts include anything that the search resulted in that seemed relevant to the unfolding of the war, to reconstruct the narrative of events. This includes, not only specific incidents of violence, but events such as the declaration of a police district, or estimates of the population at the time. Some texts may include different version of the same events. The aim of the the geolocation of this text is a step in a larger process to identify specific incidents as part of a seperate map of incidents, and to consider some context. News articles also include many other place names and events not in the area of study.

This only includes texts in colonial newspapers available through Trove. It doesn't include other sources which may describe other events such as government and police reports, colonists journals and letters, or Wiradjuri oral history.
