Description
A 235 item wordlist in Ro'is Amarasi from the hamlet (kampung) of Suit in Buraen village (desa).
aazRO20141009_01-original.pdf contains the original transcription made during elicitation of the wordlist. aazRO20141009_01-typed.pdf and aazRO20141009_01-typed.txt contains a typed βphonemicβ version of the original list. Where the two PDFs differ over the presence/absence of certain segments (i.e. glottal stops) the typed version should be taken as authoritative as these have been checked against the recording which is, of course, even more authoritative than any transcription. aazRO20141009_01-TextGrid.txt contains an (incomplete) text grid file (open in a text editor and save with .TextGrid extension) with the Indonesian prompts used to elicit words. This can be opened in Praat along with the sound file to locate the recording of particular lexical items.

Elicited names of sea creatures and fish in Ro'is Amarasi using pictures on my laptop. The text file contains a tab-delimited table of scientific names and Ro'is names. Some of the Ro'is names could, of course, be misidentifications, however Agustinus Feni (the main consultant for this elicitation session) regularly goes to the sea and if he didn't know the name of a particular creature, he said so or he didn't give any Ro'is name. So my confidence in these Ro'is identifications matching the scientific name is high.
